Sizes Other Than Medium (5e Variant Rule)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

This rule is intended to provide a single set of rules for PCs of sizes other than medium, as there isn't really any official rules for the differences between PC sizes. This rule is also to fix the issue with the base rule where size doesn't really matter when it comes to weilding weapons, as a creature 1-2 inches tall can weild a longsword as effectivly as a 6ft tall creature, and can possibly take more hits.

Sizes :

  • Tiny - less than 3ft tall, less than 5ft wide/long
  • Small - less than 5ft tall, less than 5ft wide/long
  • Medium - less than 10ft tall, less than 5ft wide/long
  • Large - less than 15ft tall, less than 10ft wide/long
  • Huge - less than 20ft tall, less than 15ft wide/long
  • Gargantuan - more than 20ft tall, more than than 15ft wide/long
