Sithyrr d' Zsatri'har (3.5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Sithyrr d' Zsatri'har: These Drow hand crossbows are prized by Drow interrogators. They are known for getting the truth out of a prisoner without accidentally killing them, while still causing them a great deal of pain. They were developed by a frustrated drow priestess who kept killing her prisoners before she could get the truth out of them (or what she was willing to accept as the truth). The other benefit for the interrogator is that they do not waste time on prisoners who are already telling the truth, just because they do not like what they hear. The Drow have found that this has led to an increase in slaves (however short lived).
