Multiple Tentacles. The shugn'dru starts with four tentacles and gains a Legendary Action for every tentacle above 1 it has. Every time shugn'dru's HP is reduced by 20 (not from a single source) a tentacle falls down dead.

ACTIONS

Whip. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Grab. Melee Weapon Attack: The shugn'dru forces a Medium or smaller creature within 15 feet to make a DC 13 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check or be grappled by a tentacle.

Digest Melee Weapon Attack: A shugn'dru tentacle reaches out an makes contact with a ghell'mu. The Ghell'mu is absorbed into the shugn'dru and regains 2d6 hit points.
