Tiefling Subrace[edit]

Your fiendish heritage comes from Sha Wujing, the Sand Monk, originally a celestial general who was banished from Heaven for breaking a precious artifact, and reincarnated into a hideous, aquatic, humanoid monster cursed to remain inside of the Flowing Sand River, until he became disciple of the monk Tang Sanzang.

You have grotesque demonic features, such as fangs and predatory eyes, as well as gills and fins that let you swim in water.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Legacy of the Sand Monk. You know the sand wave cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the drowning pull spell once, and you must finish a long rest to cast one of these spells again with this trait. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
Aquatic Adaptation. You have a swimming speed equal to your walking speed, and can breathe in both air and water.
