A sewing kit is a handy and compact package that allows you to cleave materials together with needle and thread. This can include and is not limited to cloth or heavier materials like human flesh, which may use curved needles and sturdier thread, or embellishments like buttons and ornaments. Proficiency with a set of artisan's tools lets you add your proficiency bonus to any ability checks you make using the tools in your craft.

Components: A sewing kit contains sewing needles, spools of thread, measuring tape, thimbles, pins and a cushion, a small case of hooks and buttons, and a scissor or two for snipping threads. It is used to mend clothes or make them if your have the materials. If the setting permits, you also know how to use an automated sewing device, though it is too clunky to transport.

You can make the following checks with the sewing kit if you are proficient with this tool, adding your proficiency:

Investigation, History. Your keen and attentive eyes can discern the wear and tear on cloth and how it came to be in such a state.

Repair. As part of a short rest, you can repair a single damaged cloth object.
