Serenity Circlet (5e Equipment)
Ring, Unique (requires attunement) Chaos and order are as different as can be; in fact, they stand on opposite poles altogether. Some believe order was born from chaos while others believe chaos to be the absence of order. Whatever grand theories are placed, the facts remain unchanged: chaos and order are simply the two aspects of serenity. The harnessing of the boundless chaos using the rigid law of order is what resulted in creation. The Serenity Circlet is the byproduct of the concept of serenity. As such, it encompasses both the boundless chaos of the maddening multiverse along with the strict and ever dominating presence of order. Chaos Infusion Whenever you cast a spell, you may choose to have it’s effects cancelled entirely and replaced with a random result rolled from the wild magic table. When you roll on the wild magic table, if the result is not satisfactory, then you may reroll until you get the desired effect. You may reroll a maximum number of times equal to half your spellcasting ability modifier. When you reroll, you cannot choose the effect rolled previously and must choose the new one. Order Establishment You learn three metamagic options from the sorcerer class. This ring has a number of charges equal to half of your spellcasting ability modifier+proficiency bonus. You must use the charges to use the metamagic options that you chose for this feature. You regain all charges after a long rest. Curse of Serenity Wearing this ring curses you. Until a remove curse or wish spell is used, the ring cannot be taken off. While the ring is worn, the bearer must make a DC 22 wisdom save, DC 24 Intelligence save and DC 26 charisma save every hour. If the bearer fails one save, he takes 5d10 psychic damage. If the bearer fails two saves, he is inflicted with long term madness. If he fails all saving throws, then he is inflicted with the weird spell. |
