Scholars of Wranid (Shard Ne'Vaal Supplement)

Also known as the Scholar's Circle, the Scholars of Wranid were situated originally in Preius. However, they grew as trade proliferated to have chapters all around the world. Their primary focus was the preservation of knowledge and records. Having observed the bloody and tumultuous history of the world, they saw the necessity in remembering the sins and mistakes of history so that they would not endanger the future. While this was their primary mission statement, they also practiced a good deal of the sciences as their functions expanded, and they became involved in the political arena eventually as well. This is believed to have contributed to their decline towards the end of BG. While their members are no more in Shard Ne'Vaal, their efforts to preserve history remain scattered throughout the shards in intact vaults, precious glimpses of the past for those who find them.
