Silent Spell and Shout[edit]

Bard spells can't be affected by Silent Spell, and Shout can't penetrate a Silence effect, but can Silent Spell be applied to Shout? I would read that it would also need other Metamagic applied to it, such as Sculpt spell, Delay spell or Disguise spell, any of which would prevent the sonic blast from having to begin at the caster's mouth. --John Clay 13:48, 4 September 2011 (MDT)

I would say no, though your DM's rule zero always applies. It kind of seems like it would actually wholly negate the spell, if it was allowed.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   13:51, 4 September 2011 (MDT)
I would say yes, because the "ear-splitting yell" is an effect of the spell; not necessarily the verbal component. —Sledged (talk) 21:01, 4 September 2011 (MDT)
