Balanced stats[edit]

The UA wood elf is overbalanced, as the makers of Forgotten Realms recognized. FR is copyrighted (non-OGL), but the stats appear on the wizards.com website, along with sun elves and gold dwarves. The terms of use on that site are pretty harsh, however. I don't know if we can do anything with it. --Cúthalion 17:58, 12 February 2007 (MST)

What is this point of saying this? I am a little confused. --Green Dragon 00:10, 13 February 2007 (MST)
I would like to offer a more balanced alternative for Wood Elves (the most powerful LA+0 warrior race around), as well as stats for Sun Elves and Gold Dwarves. It's copyrighted material, but it's already published on the wizards.com site, and I'm wondering how much flexibility that gives us. --Cúthalion 08:00, 13 February 2007 (MST)
If it has been published by Wizards than it's a no go. You can change the name and post yours, however you cannot use the same name. Is this what you were asking? --Green Dragon 22:24, 13 February 2007 (MST)
For SRD material, the best that we can do for the material itself is to place this kind of talk and commentary in the Discussion section. When people come to the wiki and they look up Wood Elves, they expect to find the standard Wood Elf, and not our interpretation of one. --Dmilewski 07:13, 14 February 2007 (MST)
Yeah, that's what I was asking. I guess I've done what I can, then. Thanks. --Cúthalion 12:51, 15 February 2007 (MST)
