SRD Talk:Ring of Elemental Command

From D&D Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

These rings, in our campaign in Dragonlance, have been turned into Staves of Elemental Control. Each staff is also a +2 staff of striking, and has the following additional powers (unlimited use): Daylight (from the crystal held by a platinum, gold, silver, or brass dragon in its wings.) Featherfall. Gate (to aligned Plane, once per month only, while mage's moon is full.) Each staff is intelligent, with an ego of 25, and the user must first attempt to control the artifact, much as a mage seeks to control a Dragon Orb. The four Staves of Elemental Control were crafted by the White Robe mages in the Age of Dreams, for use in the Dragon Wars. Arion, the Staff of Air, was lost for centuries, buried in the catcombs under the ruined Tower of High Sorcery at Daltigoth, until it was retrieved by a young White Robe named Jasryn Storm and his party. Incendaysh, the Staff of Fire, was already held by Lundarquarius Eclipse, a Black Robe mage. The Staff of Earth was retrieved briefly by a Red Robe, who was then slain by the chaos dragon Incendria in the ruins of Thorbardin; the staff was then retrieved by the treasonous Black Robe dwarf mage Mithgilidan. The Staff of Water is held by a amethyst dragon on the Island of Aquintiel, some 200 miles northwest of Ansalon. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lawrencejcohen (talkcontribs) 01:12, 31 March 2014 (MDT). Neat, and thanks for sharing! That might be a nice set of homebrew items to add to our ever-growing collection, if you catch my drift~ ;D Jwguy (talk) 01:12, 31 March 2014 (MDT)
