Physical Description[edit]

A ribombee Source

Ribombee is a tiny, insect-like pokemon with a large head and slightly smaller body separated by a brown, scarf-like growth with a needle-like protrusion on the front. Its arms and legs are black and very thin, as are the antennae on its head, and end in bulbous digit-less hands and feet. Its body is covered in yellow hair with its lower half and face covered in white hair. Big eyes with white square specs on top and brown square specs on the bottom adorn its head, and clear wings almost as big as its body with three brown rings sprout from the back.

Some ribombee have been known to have pink hair instead of yellow fur, and it's ordinarily brown scarf instead of being red in color.

History[edit]

Ribombee were first discovered in the massive flower fields of the tropical Alolan islands. Juvenile ribombee, known as cutiefly, start life looking more insect than fey, and walk of four legs. They will go out and gather pollen and nectar from flowers and bring it to ribombee workers in the "hive", as it's home is called, who will help convert it to honey. When they grow into ribombees themselves, they will sometimes choose to not stay in the hive and will venture out to collect pollen, which it will convert into nutritious puffs that serve a variety of uses, such as for food and even for battle. They have the ability to predict the weather from moisture levels and wind direction in the air and will hide when it rains and will sometimes refuse to come out of hiding until a few clear days in a row have passed.

Legend has it that a young woman befriended a large ribombee, and such was their friendship that they could reach each other's emotions.

Society[edit]

Ribombees are very friendly and, unlike most other fey, are disinterested in playing pranks on people. They simply wish to be as helpful to man and nature as they can, so long as man is not recklessly hurting nature. Often times they will trade their honey and pollen puffs with humans, who will sell the puffs as health supplements due to their high nutritional value. The only other creatures it doesn't get along with are butterfree and spinarak, sometimes fighting over food with the former and being preyed upon by the latter.

Ribombee Names[edit]

Ribombee names are usually Sylvan.
