Resourceful Brawler (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
You've learned to take advantage of what is around you, whether its yours or not.
- If you have the Martial Arts class feature, or a similar feature, an improvised weapon counts as a monk weapon/etc.
When a creature no more than one size larger or smaller than you misses you with a melee weapon attack you may use your reaction to attempt to disarm that weapon. Make a Dexterity(Sleight of Hand) check contested by the opposing creature's Strength(Athletics) or Dexterity(Acrobatics) check. On a success you disarm the creature of that weapon.
- If you have a free hand, or two if the weapon is two-handed, you may take hold of the disarmed weapon, otherwise it drops 5 feet plus another 5 feet for every 5 point difference in the skill contest from the creature.
- If you are not proficient with this weapon you may use it as an improvised weapon until the end of your next turn.
- This feature has no effect on weapons that cannot be removed, such as a weapon fused to a creature's arm or the natural weapons of a beast.
