Map of Resbur

Geography[edit]

Resbur is located to the west of Kaldor and is the most rugged sub-continent on Iolis. It is covered in deserts and has almost no rain fall. It is divided into three sections, the mountains, the desert and the jungle. The main government on Resbur is Alkiris, but the military Governor has little power over the population. The majority of the people living in Resbur are nomadic, and don't follow the laws set by the Governor. Farther west is the Dunelands, the border of Iolis.

Mountains[edit]

The Mountains of Resbur are in the north and have no snow fall what so ever. The main groups living here are the Dragonborn and other dragon like monsters. The center of government is located here near a temple to Bahamut. There are almost no major resources, but the people have enough to live comfortably.

Desert[edit]

The Deserts are in the middle of Resbur and extend out to the border. They are ringed by dunes but there are places where the thin sands of the Dunelands slip into the center of the desert. It is mainly rocky soil and there is no rain fall. As with the mountains, there are no resources, but the Minotaur population live comfortably in their labyrinths beneath the sands.

Jungle[edit]

The Jungle is in the South of Resbur and has rain for one month out of the year. The jungle is divided into two sub-regions, the badlands and the jungle itself. The badlands used to be above large iron deposits, but due to Rust Monsters plaguing the land for centuries, the deposits soon disappeared. The ground above collapsed and then filled with the rain water. There are now craters that are full of trees in the barren wilderness. The craters are at an average of 100ft. deep, and can be more than a mile wide. At various locations, it is possible to walk own into the forest or up to the badlands. The main population here is Goliath.

Dunelands[edit]

The Dunelands are the border along Resbur that falls to oblivion. They are a large desert that has fine sand that behaves similarly to water, and the native peoples have trained Bulettes to act as large ships for them to cross vast spaces of the Dunelands. The edge of the Dunelands drops off into oblivion in a cascade of sand and rocks.
