Rebreather (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

A rebreather is a more advanced model of gas mask, having its own independent oxygen supply.

While wearing a rebreather, you are immune to inhaled chemicals, toxins, or particles—magical, or otherwise—and you have advantage on saving throws against non-inhaled chemicals, toxins, or particles. Even should you fail a saving throw against such an agent, you still have resistance to the damage it causes. You can breathe even if there's no outside air, such as underwater, or underground.

A rebreather is good for 24 hours of use; after that time, its oxygen canister(s) or air tanks must be replaced in order for it to provide a benefit. A rebreather's filter(s) are designed to be swapped out and replaced quickly in the heat of combat or in an emergency situation; thus, you can replace the filter(s) with a Use an Object action; thus, a rogue with the Fast Hands feature could use the bonus action provided by Cunning Action to replace the filter(s). Some rebreathers have one large canister resembling an oversized gas mask filter, while others work from an air tank.
