Reanimated Meat[edit]
Medium undead, chaotic evil Armor Class 12
Skills Stealth +4 Regeneration. The meat regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the meat takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the meat's next turn. The meat dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate. Innate Spellcasting. The meat's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 12). The meat can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components: 2/day each: disguise self, reflect ACTIONSClaws. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (3d4 + 2) slashing damage. Intestines. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage plus 6 (1d8 + 2) acid damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a Strength contest against the meat or be pulled up to 10 feet toward the meat. Strength Drain. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 9 (3d4 + 2) necrotic damage, and the target's Strength score is reduced by 1d4. The target dies if this reduces its Strength to 0. Otherwise, the reduction lasts until the target finishes a short or long rest. BONUS ACTIONSHunger (2/Day). The meat adds 10 feet to the reach of the next intestine attack it makes before the end of its turn. REACTIONSMimic Caster. When the meat sees another creature cast a spell, it can copy the spell. When it has copied a spell, it can use an action on its turn to cast that spell using Charisma as its spellcasting ability. Once the meat casts the spell or 1 minute has passed, the meat loses the spell. The meat can only copy one spell at a time. |
Reanimated meat are humanoid atrocities that have been cast aside midway through some mad experiment, leaving them in a state of living death and unending pain. Insatiable Hunger These unfortunate creatures suffer an insatiable hunger, as their body attempts to reconstruct what it once was. What vitality was stolen from them in the mad Flesh Pits of Shang Tsung, they are determined to get back even if it means feeding on the flesh of the living. In combat, their intestines will even burst out from their stomachs, entangling opponents and drawing them closer so that the meat may feed upon them. Shattered Mind. Meat are often an amalgamation of various corpses that has been reanimated but left in an incomplete state, both physically, and mentally. Aside from their hunger for flesh, these creatures hunger for their lost memories and identity. Unable to find it, meat begin to form a new identity, using what little life energy they have managed to recover, they will begin to mimic the individuals they come into conflict with, stealing their magic and appearance to regain some sense of identity, even for a short while. |
