Prerequisite: Psion,
Requirement: Attunement
Description:
This reinforced iron or steel dart is 12 inches long, an 1/8 inch at its point, and tappers, in a diamond shape, to a 1/2 inch at its base (think the head of a kuni blade, but thin and long). The psion uses their mind to manipulate the dart and direct it's movements. In this way, it can be hurdled, silently through the air, at a unsuspecting target. Or used to secretly poke your companions, when they least expect it. Or possibly create a diversion, so that your party can sneak past a pair of very attentive guards. No matter what you decide to do with it, the psion must be able to see where the dart is going, to be able to manipulate it. Attunement negates the concentration check to use power.
At level 1, a psion can wield 1 psychic dart and gains 1 extra dart at every 4th level, maxing out at 16th level with 5 darts (4th level - 2 darts, 8th level - 3 darts, 12th level - 4 darts, 16th level - 5 darts). After gaining the use of more than one dart, the psion has the option to attack more than one opponent. If the psion chooses to attack more than one target, a Concentration check must be made (DC 10 + Manifester level + Ability Score modifier) and -2 penalty to each attack, increasing penalty by -2 with each additional target.
The dart can be enchanted to gain further abilities.
