Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: What is "devil's sight"? What defines a "Common resistance"? Feats typically do not grant additional benefits at higher levels (that's typically the role of a subclass).

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: +3 armor is a Legendary magic item, while this feature can grant a companion a bonus twice as high.

Primal Awakening

Prerequisites: At least one creature under your control
Your bond with your companion has grown to an unprecedented height, allowing both of you to soar beyond your normal limits. You gain three of the following benefits, but you cannot apply the same benefit more than once to the same companion:

  • Resilience: Your companion's hit point maximum increases by twice your level + your Constitution modifier.
  • Fortification: You can increase your companion's AC by a your proficiency bonus.
  • Agility Increase: Your companion's movement speed increases by 20 feet.
  • Sensory Boost: Your companion gains either 60 feet of devil's sight, 30 feet of blindsight, or 60 feet of tremorsense
  • Spell Sharing: If you and your companion are capable of casting at least one spell, it can use your spell save DC instead of its own.
  • Elemental Affinity: Choose a damage type from fire, cold, acid, poison, lightning, or thunder. Your companion's unarmed strikes deal an additional 2d10 damage of the chosen type and gains resistance to the chosen damage type.
  • One Body, One Soul: You and your companion now share each other's resistances immunities, and senses. Common resistances and senses will not stack.

-Starting at Level 15, you may choose 1 of the following benefits:

  • Arcane Conduit: Whenever you cast a spell, you can use your companion's reaction to have it originate from your companion instead of yourself. In addition, you can cast a single cantrip through your companion as a bonus action. The cantrip must target only one creature.
  • Esoteric Affinity: Choose a damage type from radiant, necrotic, psychic, or force. Your companion's unarmed strikes deal an additional 2d10 damage of the chosen type and gains resistance to the chosen damage type.
  • Limit Break: You may boost all of your companion's ability scores by 2. In addition, your companion may now attack twice or use its multiattack feature (if applicable) when taking the Attack action. This does not apply if your companion is already capable of multiple attacks.
  • Arcane Awakening: You may boost all of your companion's ability scores by 2. In addition, your companion may now add your proficiency bonus + your spellcasting modifier to the damage rolls for any innate spellcasting it may have.
