Prescient Preparer

Prerequisites: Intelligence 13 or higher
You always seem to have a knack for having just the right thing ready when you need it. When you come across a situation in which a specific item such as a piece of gear or equipment would be helpful, you can retroactively spend gp according to the item's cost to have that item with you (no action required). This item cannot be larger than 5 feet in any dimension, and must be something which you could have reasonably obtained at some point. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier before you must finish a long rest to use it again.

Alternatively, if you are capable of preparing spells, you can choose to prepare less spells than the maximum amount you can prepare, leaving empty spaces open for the future. When you are in a situation where a spell you could have prepared would be helpful or relevant, you can expend a use of this feature (no action required) to have retroactively prepared that spell.
