Poscadar Elf[edit]

Poscadar elves, sometimes called poscadari or brush elves, are native to Maztica, especially the valley and surrounding brushlands of the Pasocada Basin, though legends potentially place their origin in the frigid northlands of Anchôromé. Compared to most elves, their skin is a deep bronze, and their hair is typically a much more vibrant copper color. Poscadari limbs are generally longer than the rest of their kin with a slight curve to them, and their joints are capable of extending far beyond the typical range of motion.

Pascodari are nomadic hunters that carefully manage their environment, tending to the sparse vegetation the Sands of Itzcala and culling predators when necessary in a given area in order to create a bountiful harvest of antelopes and bison when they return years or sometimes decades later. Each group of pascodari consists of only a handful of allied families, and all known pods have walked the same loose circular path across hundreds of miles of deserts, brushlands, and mountains for generations. Communication between pods, especially in matters of cultivation, is done primarily through ancestral steles that stand at points of interest along the path. In times of urgency, a small contingent of antelope-riding, red wolf-pelt wearing Koyotōchtin is sent out to deliver the message. Only under absolutely dire circumstances, these Koyotōchtin are sent out as elite shock cavalry to ensure Itzcala's safety.
