Piecemeal Armor (5e Equipment)

Armor (hide), uncommon (requires attunement)
Often comprised just greaves, manicae and a helmet, this armor is iconic of bare-chested barbarians, warlords, and gladiators used to wearing protection that exposes their physique. When worn by most, it is indistinguishable from what is effectively nonmagical hide armor.
If you have the barbarian's Unarmored Defense feature, or equivalent, you can attune to this armor. While attuned and wearing this armor, you can choose for your Armor Class to equal 12 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.
