Pick Prodigy
Prerequisites: Proficiency with War Picks
Many overlook the humble war pick as a weapon only for countering enemy calvary, but you’ve practiced enough with them to rule the battlefield.
- War Picks wielded by you gain the Versatile property and deal 1d10 damage when two-handed.
- When dealing damage with a War Pick, you may deal Bludgeoning or Piercing damage. Decide each time you roll for damage.
- When you deal damage to a mounted creature with a War Pick, they must make a Strength saving throw with DC equal to 10 or half the damage you deal, whichever is higher. If they fail, they fall from their mount and are knocked prone. If using Bludgeoning they are knocked 5ft away from you and if using Piercing they are pulled to 5ft in front of you, displacing their mount if necessary.
- When attacking an enemy with a shield with a War Pick you may ignore 2 AC of theirs, but reduce your damage roll by 2, to a minimum of 1. This must be decided before your attack roll.
- After you score a critical hit with a War Pick, you may reduce the enemy’s AC by your Strength modifier for 1 minute. Subsequent critical strikes do not reduce it further on the same enemy.
- You can use you War Pick to carve handholds in a stone wall for climbing.
