Physical Description[edit]

From the Pokemon: Scarlet and Violet game art

Pawmo is a stout, bipedal, rodent-like Pokémon that evolves from pawmi. Its fur is almost entirely light orange, with tan colorations on its front paws, snout, and long, fluffy tail, and green on the insides of its ears. Its face has beady brown eyes, a tiny nose, and yellow electric sacs on its cheeks. There is a prominent tuft of fur on its forehead and smaller ones near its ears. Pawmo has five fingers. Its arms are very long and stretch down to its feet. Pawmo's front paws contain yellow pads that turn teal-blue when releasing electricity. It uses these paw pads for its signature fighting technique, where it simultaneously strikes and zaps foes with its paws in a sumo slapping kind of style. Because of its appearance and electric typing, it is sometimes called the pikachu of the Paldea region.

History[edit]

Pawmo are creatures native to the wilds of Paldea and the evolved form of pawmi. Pawmo, being more developed than infantile pawmi, venture outside the Southern Province of Paldea and are seen much more widespread. Due to their electrified fists, people learned they were not to be kept as simple pets. Once a pawmo has aged and traveled, their fur becomes supercharged and prominently displays on the large tuft on their head. At that point, they evolve into a pawmot. Despite being fighting type, pawmo are not confrontational creatures. They will defend themselves when attacked, but rarely will cause conflict.

Society[edit]

Pawmo have a desire to wander, though not all. Many pawmo will spread beyond the South and West Provinces, expanding into many other areas of Paldea. They are fond of grassy areas with berry trees, which are their favorite food. Some pawmo do stay to watch over young pawmi in their original areas since pawmi do not have fully developed electrical sacs for adequate defense. Pawmo travel in small packs that watch each others backs. They tend to make their homes in burrows near their favorite berry tree locations. When attacked, they will all charge in to barrage enemies with electrical flurries. They will usually be the first to strike when attacked. This changes when they evolve into pawmot, who are much slower to react, even when attacked.

Pawmo Names[edit]

Pawmo are often named while they are still pawmi. They have spritely, energetic names that are usually short and cute.

Male: Paws, Cheekers, Cheeks, Frisk, Mighty

Female: Cheeks, Electra, Wendy, Surge, Jasmine.
