Warrior of the Sun by by Iqbal Ridzuan |
Barbarian Subclass
Barbarians who follow the path of the star can use their primal rage as a source of energy to channel the power of suns. These barbarians are common in tribal traditions that worship sun gods, and they act as divine warriors, individuals blessed by the sun itself.
Solar Prominence[edit]
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can emit the energy of star with your attacks. While you're raging, the first creature you hit on each of your turns take extra fire or radiant damage (your choice) equal to half your barbarian level (rounded down).
In addition, while raging, you emit bright light in a 10-foot radius, plus dim light for another 10 feet.
Heat Source[edit]
At 6th level, the energy of the stars help you withstand the cold. You become acclimated to high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet. You're naturally adapted to cold climates, as described in chapter 5 of the Dungeon Master's Guide.
In addition, while raging, you and any creature within your bright light gain resistance to cold damage.
Red Giant[edit]
At 10th level, your mass slightly increases. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
In addition, while raging, each of your attacks deal 1d4 extra fire damage.
Solar Explosion[edit]
At 14th level, you can cause an explosion of star energy around you when you rage and while raging. When you rage, any number of creatures within 15-feet of you take fire or radiant damage (your choice) equal to half your barbarian level (rounded down). While ranging you can continue to cause a mini explosions to any number of creatures within 15-feet as a bonus action, dealing damage equal to one quarter of your barbarian level (rounded down) of your chosen damage type.
