Palutena's Warrior (3.5e Prestige Class)
From D&D Wiki
Palutena's Warrior[edit]
Palutena, goddess of light grants great power to those who show a love for life, and an affinity for her style of fighting. These warriors do not have the Paladin-like vendetta against evil, but focus more on protecting the innocent from harm. This does not mean that they are afraid to get their hands dirtied in combat, however, as Palutena grants them the ability to defend themselves and those around them.

Class Skills (6 + Int modifier per level) Class Features[edit]All the following are class features of the Palutena's Warrior: Weapon and Armor Proficiency: One of Palutena's Warriors gains proficiency with all martial weapons, as well as with his Palutena's Bow. One of Palutena's Warriors gains no new armor proficiencies. Combat Style: At first level, one of Palutena’s warriors gains a combat style in addition to the one he already has. If he already has already selected two-weapon combat, then he must select archery and the name of his PrC becomes “Palutena’s Ranger.” If he already selected archery, then he must select two-weapon fighting and the name of his PrC becomes “Palutena’s Fighter.” This combat style is identical to the Ranger's, except that if you have already taken the feat that the ability grants, you may instead take a feat the normal feat is a prerequisite of. You must be able to meet all the requirements for the feat. (A player may take this class twice, once for Fighter and once for Ranger.) Aura of good: The power of one of Palutena's Warrior's aura of good (see the detect good spell) is equal to his Palutena's Warrior level. Palutena's Bow: Palutena's Bow is a magical weapon that is used in conjunction with many of one of Palutena’s Warrior's special abilities. It is a composite long bow can separate into a longsword for you on-hand and a shortsword for your off-hand. One of Palutena’s Warriors wielding Palutena’s bow automatically has the Quick Draw feat with it. (See the Quick Draw feat.) The Warrior may switch between the Bow’s bow form and its sword form as a free action once per round. The Bow’s bow form reads your physical abilities and automatically optimizes itself to be the best for you. Palutena’s Bow’s strength rating is your class level or your strength modifier, whichever is lower. Palutena’s Bow is treated as a good magical weapon for overcoming damage reduction. One of Palutena’s Warriors can find Palutena’s Bow at any temple of Palutena for free. In emergencies or in the absence of a temple, he can attempt to make one himself. The DC is 20 and the weapon’s base cost is 30 gp. To gain the weapon’s magical benefits (including the Quick Draw feat and all class abilities that concern it and the ability to use it as a bow) the Warrior must pray for 24 uninterrupted hours with the weapon. After the period is completed, the Bow gains all the magical effects it would have based off the wielder’s class level. One Warrior can only use another Warrior’s Bow if the original wielder gives it to him willingly and the new wielder only gains benefits based off his own class level. If the original wielder no longer wishes the new wielder to hold his weapon, if he never wanted him to do so in the first place, or if he is unknowing of the other coming into possession of it, (if the original owner was unconscious or dead) then the weapon is treated the same as if it had just been created. The new wielder must complete 24 hours of uninterrupted prayer in order to attune the weapon to him. It is then treated as his weapon, and gains all the magical effects it would have based off the wielder’s class level. Palutena's bow can be forged as a Masterwork weapon, (+600 gp), and can also be enhanced. Enhance the the two short swords as though they were two different weapons, as well as the bow. (The cost of enchanting both short swords and the bow to +5 should be 50,000 gp each, and not equal to enchanting one weapon to +15.) Spell casting adjustment: On second level and every even numbered level thereafter, one of Palutena’s Warriors gains spells per day as if he had gained another level in ranger. Level dependant benefits also increase by one level. Palutena's 1st blessing: Upon reaching second level, one of Palutena’s warriors receives a blessing from Palutena. All of Palutena’s Rangers gain the Palutena’s Arrow special ability, which allows him to fire magical arrows of blue light an unlimited amount of times per day in place of normal arrows. These light arrows function the same as normal arrows, but are treated as good magical weapons for overcoming damage reduction, and have a damage roll bonus of 1/2 your class level. If you roll a critical hit, then the bonus is tripled. One of Palutena’s Rangers may choose to hide an arrow inside of his light arrows. If the physical arrow is enchanted, then the effects stack with those of the light arrows. If the physical arrow is aligned evil, then the alignments cancel. Palutena’s arrows illuminate a 20 feet radius. He must anounce that he is using a light arrow before making his attack roll. All of Palutena’s Fighters gain the Angel Ring special ability, which allows him to make a full round attack against one target. One of Palutena’s fighters may take 10-foot move and then spin his weapon rapidly, making all of his attacks per round + 1/4 his class level attacks with one roll at their highest attack bonus.(eg. if Pit can make three attacks per round with a BAB of +15/+10/+5 with 10 levels in Palutena's Fighter, then with Angle Ring he can make six attacks) This is a full round action that provokes attacks of opportunity twice. (During the movement and wile making the attack.) One of Palutena’s warriors can only use these special abilities if they are wearing light or no armor. Palutena's 2nd blessing: Upon reaching fifth level, one of Palutena’s Warriors gains the Wings of Icarus special ability. This allows him to sprout angel-like wings and grants him a fly speed of 20 (ave.) if he is wearing light or no armor, and a fly speed of 10 (poor) if he is wearing medium armor. One of Palutena’s Warriors cannot use this ability if he is wearing heavy armor. Additional Favored Enemy: One of Palutena’s Warriors gains another Favored Enemy on fifth level and again on tenth level. He gains these additional Favored Enemies from the Ranger's favored enemy table [1]. However, he may not select Outsider (good) when gaining additional Favored Enemy from this class. Improved Combat Style: This functions as a Rangers Improved Combat Style, and applies to the style you took on with your first level in Palutena's Warrior. Palutena's 3rd blessing: Upon reaching level seven, one of Palunta's Warriors gains the ability to activeate the Aura of Light an amount of times per day equal to half his class level rounded up. This Aura lasts for a amount of rounds equal to half of his class level plus his Con mod. This aura has the effects of Positive Energy Aura, Holy Aura, The Paladin's Aura of Courage. All level dependent benifits are equal to his Palutena's Warrior level. He is also blessed with the ability to bend his light arrows, and limitedly change the dimensions of his swords, and he gains a +4 on all attack rolls made with these attacks. Activeating the Aura of Light is a standard action. DCs are Wisdom based. Combat Style Mastery: This functions as a Rangers Combat Style Mastery, and applies to the style you took on with your first level in Palutena's Warrior. Palutena's Army: Upon reaching eleventh level one of Palutena’s Warriors gains the power to ask for help from the Goddess herself. Once a day he may cast the Palutena's Army as a divine spell. The DCs are Wisdom based.
