Paleblood are often regarded as “miracle children” on account of the, oftentimes, unique circumstances of their birth. Spawned through surrogate virgin mothers from the material plane impregnated through the mothers' lucid dreams from the essence of the Moon Presence. The resulting organism is a creature called a Paleblood. Palebloods are not humans, nor are they Great Ones. They are an evolution of their base species and are blessed by the Great Ones. Either way, the Moon Presence will silently watch over her children, awaiting the day when they gain the strength to travel through planes and return to their true mothers.

Moon Child[edit]

Paleblood are similar in stature and general appearance to humans and are virtually indistinguishable from the race of their birth mother save for a few aspects that are obtained from their other Mother. These children of the Moon generally have lightly-toned fair skin, ashen hair, and bright eyes that reflect the nature of the cosmos in them. They are oftentimes lean, toned, and wiry, weighing in and around 150 to 210 pounds, and standing anywhere from five to six feet tall. Their bodies mature by the age of 20 while they continue to age mentally until they reach 100, however they can continue to live on for thousands of years. When a Paleblood bleeds, their blood is silver, like the light of the moon.

Paleblood Names[edit]

Palebloods names differ little from human names for the most part, most Palebloods names are considered "old fashioned" by modern-day standards, and while it isn't uncommon for Palebloods to possess last and even middle names, most often then not they tend to forgo or forget them over time.

Male: Salem, Oceiros, Christoff, Cillian, Sibyll

Female: Maria, Lilly, Isabelle, Elizabeth, Aster

Paleblood Traits[edit]

Palebloods are humans born of the Moon, with their true nature latent, with connections to the cosmos and the horrifying Eldritch Truth.
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Age. Palebloods mature at the rate of a normal human, but do not age beyond that. A human over the age of 20 made into a Paleblood will remain that age until their demise. It's rare, however, to see a Paleblood live five to six years past their inital creation, as their line of work is extremally unforgiving. Most Paleblood that do go on to live unnaturally long lives go mad into the age of 1000+, these Palebloods are the rarest of their kind to find with their mind yet still intact and unbroken by their cursed blood.
Alignment. Paleblood's alignment can range from lawful good, to chaotic evil, and everything in between. Some are greedy for their friends and tend to be good, while others can have an insatiable desire for knowledge and power no matter what. Most end up neutral or evil, however, they are usually benevolent towards those who give them their space and leave them be.
Size. Palebloods size differ little, if at all, from normal humans. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Aberrant Nature. The blood in your veins has been twisted through hemocraft and dark sciences and has tainted your mind as well as your body. Your creature type is both Humanoid and Aberration.
Hemo-Augmented. The change in your overall anatomy has made you immune to many illnesses. You are immune to nonmagical diseases.
Palesight. Your eyes are keenly perceptive to creatures that try to obscure their whereabouts, though only to a certain extent. You are aware of invisible creatures within 60 feet of you. You know how many there are, but you do not know their exact location and still take penalties when trying to target them with attack rolls.
Aberrant Mind. You have resistance to psychic damage.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, Deep Speech, Abyssal and one other language of your choice.
