Cost: 5,000 gp and 100 gp in monthly expenses

A compact medical bay designed for installation in small starships. This module contains basic first aid supplies, an automated stretcher, and advanced medical tools to treat minor to moderate injuries during space travel. The medical bay provides the following benefits:

  • Allows a trained medic or crew member to make Medicine checks with advantage.
  • Can restore up to 10 hit points per day to a maximum of 3 creatures.
  • Grants a +1 bonus to rolls for stabilizing a dying creature.

Upgrades

The medical bay can be upgraded to provide additional capabilities, increasing the monthly cost:

Advanced Diagnostic Unit: Costs 2,000 gp and increases monthly expenses by 50 gp. Enables the diagnosis of diseases and poisons, granting a +2 bonus to related Medicine checks.

Regenerative Serum Bank: Costs 3,500 gp and increases monthly expenses by 100 gp. Allows one additional use of 15 hit points per day, which can be divided among multiple creatures.

Cryostasis Module: Costs 5,000 gp and increases monthly expenses by 150 gp. Allows a dying creature to be placed in cryostasis, suspending time for them and stabilizing them until proper treatment can be administered.

Biomedical Printer: Costs 7,500 gp and increases monthly expenses by 200 gp. Creates basic medical supplies, reducing the cost of healing potions and antidotes by 50%.

Medical AI: Costs 10,000 gp and increases monthly expenses by 300 gp. An advanced medical AI assists in treating patients, granting a +3 bonus to all Medicine checks and allowing one condition such as poisoning or paralysis to be cured once per day.
