Order of the Planemind[edit]
"So many people believe the arbitrary boundries we place upon ourselves." Art by Nils Hamm. [1] |
Mystics of the Order of the Planemind use their powers for scouting and reaching far beyond the limitations of the material body. These mystics have leart the ability to seperate their souls from their mortal bodies, unhinging themselves from this reality, allowing them to walk in the inbetween; the most powerful can even project far beyond what the mind can reach. However, these mystics must be careful for there are those who can also reach where others cannot.
Bonus Disciplines[edit]
Starting at 1st level, you learn two additional psionic disciplines of your choice. They must be chosen from among the Nomad disciplines.
Eyes Opened[edit]
Starting at the 1st level, you gain proficiency with two of the following skills of your choice: Stealth, Arcana, Investigation, Religion, Insight, Perception, Deception, Intimidation or Persuasion.
Astral Projection[edit]
Starting at 3rd level, you are able to project your soul, seperating it from your material body. After 1 minute of concentration, your soul leaves your material body for 10 minutes. The material body you leave behind is Unconscious for the duration. Your soul looks like a spectral version of you and other creatures can still see and hear you if you speak. You gain a fly speed equal to your walking speed. Your soul is immune to all damage as well as immune to spell effects with some exceptions (see note) from sources on the material plane. However, your attacks, spells or abilities cannot affect other creatures on the material plane. You can also phase through solid matter.
After 10 minutes, or if your hit points (either your soul or your material body) would reach 0, your soul is immediately shunted back into your body.
You can use this feature a number of times per long rest, equal to your Psi Limit. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When you are in the astral projection you can spend 2 psychic points to travel through objects. If you end your turn inside an object you travel to the nearest unoccupied space and you take 1d10 force damage.
Note: Your soul is still considered magical, therefore things that can affect magical effects can affect you, such as dispel magic or antimagic field. Also things that capture souls (such as Soul Cage) and other such effects can affect you as well.
Planemind[edit]
Starting 6th level you are able to open your soul to the leylines that connect to other planes around you:
When you activate your Astral Projection feature, you can project your soul to a specific place you have physically visited before. This place can be on another plane.
You can use this feature once per long rest.
Astral Possession[edit]
Starting at 14th level, as an action, you may attempt to take over another creature's body:
While you soul is projecting, your soul can enter another humanoid or beast as an action. That creature makes an Intelligence saving throw. On failure, the creature falls under the effects of dominate person or dominate beast respectively. They are under this effect for as long as your soul can remain outside your material body. On sucess, the creature is unaffected. A creature is immune to this ability if it is immune to being charmed
You can use this feature once per short or long rest.
