Oath of chambara (5e Subclass)
oath of chambara[edit]
Paladin Subclass
Chambara Champions are paladins who dedicate their lives to constant work and labor. This oath focuses on perseverance, tireless effort, and devotion to Chambara, the god of work. These paladins draw their power not from faith or magic, but from effort materialized in money, which becomes the tool to channel their skills.
- Chambara's paladins follow these principles
- Constant Work: Always maintain effort and sacrifice. No work is unworthy.
- Honor the Reward: Wealth and effort are sacred. Never waste hard-earned gain.
- Support the Workers: Help your fellow workers whenever you can. The work community is your family.
- Sacrifice for the Greater Good: Use your wealth and effort to protect others and ensure the work continues.
Blessing of Chamba[edit]
At 3rd level, As a devotee of the god of chamba, Chambara, you receive a divine reward in the form of money as payment for your daily work and dedication. Upon completion of a long rest, Chambara grants you a sum of gold coins that symbolize his favor and appreciation for your perseverance and effort. The amount you receive depends on your paladin level:
- Levels 2-5: You receive 1d6 gold pieces.
- Levels 6-10: You receive 2d6 gold pieces.
- Levels 11-15: You receive 3d6 gold pieces.
- Levels 16-20: You receive 4d6 gold pieces.
This money can be used to fund your spells and abilities, representing the cost of your faith in specific actions. However, if at any time you decide to act in a manner contrary to the mission of the chamba (such as stealing, abusing your power, or avoiding responsibilities), the blessing is suspended until you demonstrate your dedication once again through acts of work or devotion.
- Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.
When you take this oath, you gain the following spells and special abilities:
Job Spells: As you advance in level, you gain access to spells that allow you to work and make your efforts pay off in combat. Spells are cast using money as a component instead of mana. To cast these spells, you must spend an amount of Holy Money equal to your level multiplied by 20 silver pieces (for example, a 1st level spell costs 20 silver pieces).
Paladin Level | Spells |
---|---|
3rd | Argent Blessing, Worker Command |
5th | find steed, Borrowed Knowledge |
9th | Worker Motivation, aura of vitality |
13th | Hand of workers, aura of purity |
17th | Divine Mission, holy weapon |
Channel Chamba[edit]
Also at 3rd level, you can use one of the following options when spending a Channel Divinity action:
- Worker's Hand: You summon an ethereal hand that performs tasks for you (such as a workman's hand). It can strike a nearby enemy, dealing 1d8 + your Strength modifier as bludgeoning damage. Alternatively, it can aid you in a complex task.
- Chambara's Blessing: You spend 20 gold pieces to bless a nearby ally. This blessing grants an additional xd6 on attack, skill, or save rolls for 10 minutes, with x being the number of gold pieces you spend.
- Services Rendered: You can offer Chambara money to purchase a skill you've seen before (price decided by the DM). If this skill goes against the job, you are punished. This skill lasts until your next rest.
Aura of Effort[edit]
Starting at level 7, your presence inspires others to work hard. You and allied creatures within 10 feet of you have advantage on skill checks involving strength and physical endurance (such as Athletics). Additionally, if you or an ally spends money (such as buying equipment), you get a 15% discount due to your work connections.
Champion's Wage[edit]
At 9th level, Chambara recognizes the tireless efforts of its champions and grants them a special bonus in times of need that not only motivates them, but also enhances their abilities. As an action, you can activate Champion's Wage, calling upon Chambara's favor to receive a sum of gold pieces and a temporary buff in combat. When you use this ability, choose one of the following effects:
- Gold Motivation: Chambara instantly grants you 50 gold as payment for your effort. Additionally, for the next 10 minutes, you have advantage on all attack and damage rolls. This bonus represents the renewed energy you feel at being rewarded for your work.
- Equipment Reinforcement: You can spend the 50 gold pieces you receive to bless your weapon or armor with Chambara's energy. For 10 minutes, your weapon deals an additional 2d8 points of damage (of your weapon's damage type) or your armor grants you an additional +2 bonus to AC for every 10 gold pieces spent.
- Support Allies: Distribute the 50 gold pieces among your allies (they may all go to one creature or be split up). Each ally who receives gold gains 1d8 temporary hit points per coin and has advantage on their next attack roll or save, as the gold grants them renewed strength and motivation.
You may spend your own money to further increase these effects.
Golden Power[edit]
At 15th level, the wealth you've accumulated over your working life becomes a shield of protection. You can spend 100 gold pieces to increase your AC by +5, gain false hit points equal to your maximum hit points, and remove any status effects for 1 minute. This effect can be used 2 times per short or long rest.
Chambara Avatar[edit]
At 20th level, you may assume the form of a true champion of chamba, channeling all of your effort and wealth into attaining ultimate power. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
- All of your attacks unleash a critical hit.
- Whenever you deal damage to an enemy, you may regain a number of gold pieces equal to half your paladin level multiplied by 5.
- You may use your paladin spells at no additional gold cost for the duration of this transformation.
- Your movement speed is doubled, and you are immune to fatigue and stunned conditions.
You may only use this power once per long rest, and after using it, you lose half of your current wealth as a sacrifice to Chambara.
