Elemental origin: You are considered an elemental for effects that relate to creatures origin. In addition, you do not need to eat, drink, sleep or breathe and you gain the fire keyword |
Trance: Rather than sleep, Novakids enter a meditative state known as trance. You spend 4 hours in this state to gain the same benefits other races gain from taking a 6-hour extended rest. While in a trance, you are fully aware of your surroundings and notice approaching enemies and other events as normal. |
Solar Flair: you can use Solar Flair as an encounter power. |
Stary body: you have resist fire and radiant damage equal to 3 + half your level. In addition, you shed bright light in a radius of 2 squares and take a -5 penalty to stealth checks to become hidden. |
Faceless: when a creature makes an insight check to detect your intentions, they take a -5 penalty to the roll. |
History[edit]
Deep in the vastness of the elemental chaos, stars gave birth to a new race, the Novakid. no one truly knows the history of the Novakid, for they had no interest in writing it down, and they do not remember it themselves due to memory loss. Most Novakids are more curious about the present and the future, striving for information about anything new that old things aren't interesting enough for them.
Physical Qualities[edit]
Novakids are bright humanoid creatures that share much in appearance as their star ancestors. Each Novakid has a core in the center of their body that is the source of their energy, this core is highly valuable as a light source because it can burn for thousands of years without dimming, but taking one out of a Novakid kills it instantly. Novakids do not have a face, rather they have a metal brand where their face should be, this brand comes in all different symbols and acts as a Novakid's signature as no two brands are the same.
A Novakid reaches maturity slightly faster than humans reaching maturity by around 6 years old. But their lifespan is dependent on their core which can last thousands of years.
Novakids will wear almost any new clothing they find that interests them.
There are no Major Novakid societies or Cities as most prefer to explore the universe rather than settle in any one place
Attitudes and Beliefs[edit]
Novakid's main interest in the world is finding new things, exploring new lands, uncovering treasures. Everything that a Novakid finds is new to them even if it seems pretty normal to someone else, they are utterly fascinated. Because of their desire to find new things, Novakid's rarely ever settle down in any one place and will prefer to keep moving their entire life.
Novakid Communities[edit]
No Novakid Cities or communities exist on any plane of existence because of their nature to explore and discover.
Novakid Adventurers[edit]
Novakids will explore the world looking for anything, they are always ready for an adventure and will often get depressed if they can't roam as they please.
Sorcerer: Novakid Sorcerers do exist and most often use magic as a way to explore more. Many Novakid sorcerers also strive to become stronger to discover more abilities.
Wizard: Novakid Wizards have a good time exploring and discovering spells, but will often have trouble remembering them and will fall behind other wizards. Novakid's greatest strength as a wizard is their determination and desire to learn.
