Ninja Clan Yami (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Ninja Clan Yami[edit]
Rogue Subclass
Hundreds of years ago, an ancient and powerful group of ninja founded the Yami Clan. For decades they prevailed as one of the most powerful clans of the time, but like other clans, they eventually disappeared among the many wars that occurred in the past. The techniques that the Yami clan used to kill were feared and considered too dangerous to continue existing, so kings and high command ordered to destroy all traces of these, fortunately some writings managed to be saved and prevail over time, these writings have now reached you and with enough training time you can learn some of the Yami clan's deadliest techniques.
- Move Like a Shadow
One of the main and most lethal characteristics of the Yami Clan was its ability to approach its enemies before they could notice them. Starting at 3rd level onwards you do not leave footprints when you walk and your movements do not cause noise.
- Superhuman Endurance
During clan wars, one of the main causes of death was poisoning and disease. As an apprentice of the ancient Yami clan, you have spent several months exposing your body to different harmful substances. Starting at level 3, you gain immunity to poisons and diseases.
- Chameleon Skin
Starting at level 9 you have studied the arts of the Yami Clan to access one of their most powerful tools, the chameleon skin, you can use a long rest and jewelry worth 1000 gold pieces to give your clothing and armor this characteristic. These new clothes change color to adapt to the environment, making it very difficult to keep your eyes on them. During your turn you can use the hide action regardless of terrain conditions; you are undetectable to other creatures unless they make a Perception roll that exceeds your Stealth roll. This ability can only be used by those who wear appropriate clothing and have knowledge of the arts of the Yami clan.
- Unbreakable Will
Starting at 13th level, you have spent so much time in the ancient art of meditation that your will has been strengthened to make you unstoppable in combat. On a failed saving throw, you can use your reaction to add your wisdom modifier to the roll.
You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier.
- Precise Strike
Starting at level 17, you learn the last of the Yami clan's skills that has survived over time: Precise Strike. Before making an attack you can add 3 to the attack and damage roll. If the attack hits, the damage it deals is doubled and ignores resistances and immunities. If the attack misses, the skill is still consumed.
You have to take a short rest before you can use this ability again.
