Weapon (nunchaku), legendary (requires attunement by a monk)

You have a +3 bonus to your attack and damage rolls with this magic weapon, which deals an additional 1d4 force damage.

Spell Absorb. While attuned to Nimi and holding him, you can use reaction to absorb a spell that targets only you and does not have an area of effect. The weapon then nullifies the spell’s effect and gains an amount of charges equal to the spell's level. The weapon may only nullify spells of 6th level or lower, and can hold no more than 30 charges at once. Any spell that would exceed this weapon's charge limit cannot be absorbed. You can use Nimi as an action by expending 5 charges to cast a special version of the destructive wave spell as force energy ripples outward from Nimi. All creatures within a 30 foot radius that are not attuned to Nimi must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 5d6 thunder damage as well as 5d6 force damage, and is knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half the damage and remains standing.
Sentience. Nimi is a Chaotic Neutral nunchaku with 18 Wisdom (+4), 12 Intelligence (+1), and 8 Charisma (-1). He can speak and understand Common, and can speak telepathically to any creature within five feet of him when he is not being held by his attuned wielder. He has hearing and vision out to 60 feet and can communicate empathically to any creature with in 25 feet of him.
Personality. Nimi was crafted by the Monks of the Passive Palm, who sought to make a magic weapon that was nonlethal. Nimi, however, developed a desire for combat, and often goes over the top and kills enemies, much to the horror of his creators. Nimi does not seem to understand his original purpose, and instead tries to convince anyone wielding him to attack everything around them. Any creature who intentionally avoids conflict upsets Nimi. Nimi gets distracted easily and often forgets his own abilities, relying on the user to tell him when to set off his powers. If the wielder does not fight any creatures with Nimi in a week, the wielder will have an argument with Nimi at dawn.
