Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: How is this race supposed to otherwise hold weapons and tools, cast spells, and otherwise use class features and do things meant for humanoids? This race's description as a whole could also use some work as the race's history doesn't actually describe things like how the race was created, where their abilities come from, and etc. other things. Besides that this race's society doesn't describe nightwing society as a whole or the race's interactions with other races.

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Advanatage on all skills checks of a certain type, by itself, is too powerful a trait for races. Besides that, the fact that this race can fly, but has a decent number of other traits is also a concern.

Nightwings[edit]

"All right. But please stop trying to scare me. You are not as terrifying as you think you are."
—Moonwatcher to Winter

Physical Description[edit]

a636b7275a8b212dbe3f88bb6e5cc5c0.jpg
Totally epic nightwing, by Joy Ang

Nightwings are generally black in color of scale, they have black, forked tongues, and tend to fly in the dead of night. Their wings are pretty interesting, though. They're black on the top with a night sky-like pattern on the bottom of the wings to make it look like the night sky while in flight.

History[edit]

Nightwings were told to be able to read minds and see the future, though for the last few centuries, no nightwing was able to do either. But this is only because no nightwing was under the influence of the moonlight, the source of their abilities. So, for the last few centuries, the nightwings would make up prophecies that they would then fight to make them come true, or just manipulate some poor, weak-minded dragon ruler to do their bidding. When the Dragonets of Destiny came in and broke up this false prophecy thing, the nightwings started to be born in the moonlight again, and thus regained their abilities.

Society[edit]

Nightwings are normally very secretive, mostly out to learn more things about stuff that doesn't make much sense to anyone else, but the drive for information was always there with these dragons, and are annoyingly pretentious. And just when they'd think to themselves that it was enough to know, they'd find something new to learn, or MAKE something new to learn. In extreme circumstances, when no one paid attention to them anymore, they'd get together and make up prophecies.

Nightwing Names[edit]

Nightwing dragonets are named in a myriad of ways, and some even change their names sometimes. They tend to name themselves based on their powers, their physical attributes, and even their distinct skills. Because of these naming schemes, nightwing names can be an infinite number of things, written with any letter in the alphabet.
