Nemesis is a goddess devoted entirely to combat and revenge. She doesn't care what parties are doing the fighting, so long as the fighting claims lives. Nemesis looks like an average human female that stands at eight feet tall and has large wings made out of adamantine swords. Nemesis's body must always be soaked with blood. If it isn't, she flies into an uncontrollable rage, completely consumed with the thought of killing everyone she can see for months on end. Nemesis wears thick adamantine armour, and her swords are also constructed of adamantine with hilts made out of bloodstone. Because of this, adamantine and bloodstone are associated with warfare and revenge.
Nemesis resides in Acheron, the plane of permanent warfare. She is constantly mobile, always searching for her next battle. Aside from battling in Acheron, Nemesis is also constantly searching for ways to start wars on other planes. She does this by ordering her devotees to sow the seeds of chaos in the leaders. The conflict that Nemesis is most interested in, however, is the Blood War. Out of all conflicts in the multiverse, she devotes almost all of her time towards making the Blood War 'more interesting'. She does this by making deals with both sides, promising them advantages over their enemies.
Nemesis's followers are extremely varied, even among the Ataresian pantheon. Most of them, however, are crazed cultists bent on destroying anything and everything. These cultists' attitudes and practices are extremely similar to that of orcs or goblins, and novice trackers often get them confused. However, because Nemesis also reigns over revenge, she is often prayed to by anyone that feels that someone has wronged them. She is also prayed to when someone has a conflict they want to win, or when someone wants to start a conflict. Clerics that are devoted to her almost always take the Death or War domains, worshipping her destructive capabilities. However, some Clerics do take the Trickery domain, appreciating that it can take trickery and spycraft to win wars.
When they die, almost exclusively in battle, a worshipper's soul is sent off to Acheron to fight there alongside whatever party Nemesis wants them to fight with for the rest of eternity. Her most devout worshippers see this as the highest honour and cannot wait to die so they can join their lady in eternal battle. Some worshippers take this zeal way too seriously, and will rush into battle without any regard for their own life in an attempt to get sent to Acheron as soon as possible. These overzealous fools are often referred to as "Battlerunners". Having a Battlerunner in an army is the worst nightmare of any general that values sound battle plans, although it is very common for generals to use Battlerunners as cannon fodder.
