Necroknight
Prerequisites: Ability to cast a Necromancy spell
Most necromancers prefer to stay back and let their minions do the fighting for them. You prefer to dive right into the fray of death and slaughter.
- Whenever you deal melee weapon damage, you may change the damage type to Necrotic. When you do so, your weapon strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
- Whenever you make a successful melee spell attack with a Necromancy spell, add your melee weapon’s damage if you are proficient with it.
- Learn Inflict Wounds. You may cast it without a spell slot a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus while wielding a melee weapon you are proficient with. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. You may use Strength or Dexterity as your spellcasting ability if you do not already posses one.
- While concentrating on a Necromancy spell, your melee attacks deal additional Necrotic damage equal to the level of the spell.
