Path of Sight (Shinobi World Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
Path of Sight[edit]
The Byakugan, also known as the all seeing white eye, is a Dōjutsu possessed by those of the Hyūga clan who are born with their pupils and irises replaced with a white circle contained in a very thin black line. Through this path, you gain access to the Gentle Fist style of combat.
Byakugan[edit]
At 3rd level, you gain a +5 bonus to Perception checks and your Passive Perception. As a bonus action, you can activate or deactivate your Byakugan. While your Byakugan is active, you can also see in 360 degree vision in a 15 foot radius, and you can not be surprised while conscious. You must have your Byakugan activated to perform certain Jutsu detailed later in this class.
When you take the search action while your Byakugan is active, you may also attempt a DC 13 Perception check to locate living creatures and magical effects within 60 feet. You see a faint outline around the detected chakra source and what school of magic or chakra nature the magical effect was created from, or one that the creature can use if any, can be discerned by you. This effect can penetrate most barriers, but is blocked by 5 feet of stone, 5 inches of common metal, 1 inch of lead, or 15 feet of wood or dirt.
At the end of each turn you have your Byakugan active, you must spend 1 chakra, or 2 if it was implanted.
At 10th level, you can activate and end your Byakugan at will instead of as a bonus action.
At 15th level, you have mastered your traditional Byakugan. You must spend half as much chakra to keep your Byakugan active (rounded down).
Focused Byakugan[edit]
At 7th level, as a bonus action for 2 chakra while your Byakugan is active, you may focus your Byakugan. Your chakra sense range is doubled, your chakra sense starts being blocked by twice as much material, and you gain a +1 bonus to your AC until the end of your next turn.
Gentle Step[edit]
At 10th level, you gain the ability to manifest bursts of condensed chakra from your strikes utilizing your dojutsu. While your Byakugan is active, all unarmed strikes deal force damage instead of bludgeoning. While your Byakugan is focused, you gain another +1 bonus to your AC and you gain advantage on Dexterity or Wisdom saving throws, your choice.
Alternate Feature: Perfect Sight[edit]
At 10th level, when you activate your Byakugan, you may double the amount of chakra you must spend to maintain it to gain the effects of focusing your Byakugan until you deactivate your Byakugan. Focusing your Byakugan normally no longer costs chakra.
Alternate Feature: Byakugan Genjutsu[edit]
At 10th level, while your Byakugan is active, you may amplify a genjutsu you cast with your all-seeing sight. A Byakugan genjutsu targets every creature in a 10 ft. radius of a point within range. If the jutsu would already target a radius, its radius is doubled instead. You may double a Byakugan genjutsu's radius again for every 5 chakra spent when you cast it.
Alternate Feature: Primordial Byakugan[edit]
At 10th level, your Byakugan is empowered by ancient chakra. Your focused Byakugan's AC bonus applies to your attacks and damage rolls and your jutsu saving throw DC as well.
Alternate Feature: Personal Byakugan[edit]
At 10th level, your Byakugan can read into creatures' souls. While your Byakugan is focused, you can tell what emotions any creature you can see is feeling, including if a creature is lying.
Expert Byakugan[edit]
At 15th level, you gain one 10th level feature from this path you did not take. While your Byakugan is focused, you gain another +1 bonus to your AC, and you gain advantage on Dexterity or Wisdom saving throws.
Mastered Byakugan[edit]
At 20th level, you have fully mastered your Dōjutsu. You gain two 10th level features from this path you did not take. While your Byakugan is focused, you gain a +4 bonus to your AC instead of a +3 bonus, your chakra sense range is doubled once more, and your chakra sense starts being blocked by twice as much material.
