Divine Rank. Greater Deity
Narli is the second child of Order and Chaos. His birth, and appearance, inspired the creation of the sea, much like Titarr inspired the creation of the sky. Narli, originally, was content with his lot, until Titarr began to earn the respect of the other gods, and even their parents. Narli became jealous of his older brother, wondering why he was not being praised as well. Narli was one of the main influencers of war amongst the gods, before Titarr was bound to the sun and moon. After that, Narli’s jealousy and dislike of his brother grew into full-fledged hatred. He began a plan to weaken and imprison his brother, the closest he could get to killing him. At the time, Sun and Moon were both constants in the sky. Because of Sun’s brightness, however, Moon was almost invisible. The Celestial was content, however, due to her nature. Narli changed that. Using some of his own blood, and a touch of seafoam, Narli created a black dart. He sent the dart up into the sky, until it reached Moon, placing a bit of his own ambition and restlessness in her mind.
Moon realized that she wanted to be seen, not ignored due to Sun’s brightness. The two began to argue, then fight. Due to the nature of their bond with Titarr, he began to tear apart at the seams. Narli’s plan was almost successful, until Ahmis intervened. The Void opened up, and his booming voice emanated from it. Ahmis told Sun and Moon the consequences of their battle, and offered a compromise. Sun could be out half the time, and Moon could be out the other half. When one was out, the other would return to the Void. Both agreed to this, and Titarr was healed. To a degree, however, Narli’s plan was a success, since Titarr could no longer draw on the full power of both the sun and the moon at the same time, only having one at a time. Still, Titarr remained the most powerful of the gods, and all Narli did was further his reputation of treachery and deceit among the other gods.
Narli is the god of the sea, first and foremost. More than just that, however, he is also the god of deceit and trickery. He represents change, but more than that, he is fickle and changeable. The sea can go from calm and pleasant to violent and terrifying in an instant. Narli has no true divine weapon, not in the same sense as gods like Vavana or Titarr. He tends to merely smash his opponents with the power of the sea. When he must, he typically summons forth a trident or spear made of super-condensed water.
Narli usually appears as a green-skinned man with long, black dreadlocks, and moving black tattoos of waves and sea creatures. His eyes are the same color as his skin, and he usually carries a long, black serpent coiled around his shoulders.
