He was part of Arkham Demonbane crusade against the cults that used from the war to release the abyssal influence in Daear, and sacrificed himself to save both his demon hunters companions and his dwarvish people, by fighting alone the powerful avatar of a demon prince.

Living NPCs[edit]

Daear[edit]

Humans[edit]

Lord Henry, the Warden of the Greystone Keep Prison
Emperor Dorius Llewellyn
Prince Dreigh Llewellyn
Reinhard Llewellyn

Reinhard Llewellyn is one of the Emperor's bastards, specifically from the caste of the Edel, a minor prince born out of one of the noble concubines. As an Edel, his role in the family was to serve as a battlefield commander and a warrior, but reinhard was never cut for battle. Being born small and frail, as a youngling he could even be easily mistaken for a sickly little girl, so he was always despised by his father who considered him useless.

He was proven wrong, however, in the Battle of Stormpeak, when Reinhard defeated the barbarian army, showing great tactical prowess and acquiring the respect of the 14th Imperial Legion.

Like most Llewellyn's, Reinhard have a long and blond hair, fair skin and deep blue eyes. He usually don extravagant clothes and armors that bear the lion face, symbol of the family, and dresses in the gold and white colors of the family.

He enjoys music and pleasures, appearing to be a frivolous nobleman. However, this is nothing but a facade, that hides his cunning intellect and devious plans. More than anything, Reinhard truly believes that the power of Tyr is necessary to grant every person in Daear security and comfort, but he also believes that all races, and not just humans, should be fully integrated to the empire as equal citizens.

More than anything, he despises his father, family and most of the members of the noble houses. The exceptions are his brother Dreigh and his sisters Camila and Emlyn. Outside his family, his greatest allies are his mentor in the arcane arts, Conrad Sudworth, and his half-orc bodyguard, Gerah.

Corvus Brann
Conrad Sudworth

Conrad is a Loremaster from the Magisterium. His field of expertise is language, and he is one of the most talented linguists in all the continent. He served as a translator and ambassador for the Magisterium in the Lewellyn family, and is famous for being one of the mentors and arcane teachers for prince Reinhard Lewellyn. Despite this impressive resume, Conrad is a humble man with simple desires, who strive for nothing more than just spend his free time debating philosophy with his colleagues, reading his books and drinking his wine.

When the Crimson Codex was found, the Empire released him from his duties with the Lewellyn family, since he was the only one, or at least one of the few living sages capable of translating the cryptic language in which the Codex was written. He currently is located in the Shimmering Coast, inside the Red Keep, while he constantly studies the eldritch book, in order to decipher its content.

These feats by themselves would already be noteworthy if he was a human, but achieving that as a tiefling makes these achievements even more incredible.

Vez'nan use his genial mind and innate devilish charm to break through the cultural prejudice humans feel towards all non-human races, and specially against the unnatural and not well comprehend tiefling. From a very young age, he knew that as a poor tiefling, the only thing that could give him a chance to raise through the ranks would be battle, war.

He was a volunteer in many dangerous - and borderline suicide - missions for the empire, always coming alive, and little by little gathering the attention, recognition and trust from his fellow soldiers and from superiors.

His position as an admiral was not achieved without controversy, but using from his cunning mind, competence, and willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed, he managed not only to achieve the highest rank in the imperial navy, but also to become responsible for maintaining the peace and order of one of the most important port cities in all the empire.

Recently, Vez'nan managed to become a councilman in the Glimmering Coast after the unfortunate death of the former councilman, in a process filled with controversy an doubt. Regardless, this is only the beginning of the realizations of his true ambitions.

Now, she acts as Elekth personal bodyguard, and also as a shock trooper and elite soldier in special tasks.

Entities[edit]

Vh'yctath, the Wanderer

Little is known about the secretive entity known as The Wanderer, but between whisperers some talk about a mysterious figure, donning a green cloak that cover anything but his human mouth and chin, always in a constant grin.

This figure is seen in locations were the activity of demonic cults is prevalent, and his presence seems to always be an omen for some great catastrophe. Nobody really knows what are his goals or purpose. Some say he is some shadowy mastermind, scheming some nefarious plot, while others say he is nothing more than an augury. Some, even, don't even believe he is real.

Netril, the Mad (also known as the Plenty)

Lucien Aerin Netril was formerly a notable member of the Magistery, being born into relative wealth, he was enrolled in a very young age on the academy for wizards in the empire. He was peerless in the arcane arts, specially on the school of illusion, which granted his mockingly title, Netril, the Plenty, due to his habit of creating illusions of himself to pull pranks on his colleagues during his youth.

As an adult, Netril joined to the ranks of teachers in the Magistery, becoming also very interested in the meddling with the political affairs relating to the academy, frequently dealing with nobles of many different houses. As he used to say, "i'm a student of illusions, and there's no greater illusion than politics". He became one of the ambassadors for the magistery in the empire, a time that proven to be a turning point in the life of the arcanist, were he soon realized the truth in his statement. He managed to pierce through the veil of illusions that constantly clouded the judgement of governance in Tyr, whose perenuous war and constant bickering blinded the for the real threats that surrounded the realm.

He was the one who first warned about the threats of the raising demonic cults in the continent, to the growing strength of dragon worshipers and the possibility of both groups finding common ground and bringing destruction to all; When the first contact with the elves was had, he was the one advised to make peace with them, since they had magical knowledge far beyond those taught inside the walls of the Magisterial Citadel. His warnings, however, fell in deaf years, and slowly, Netril grew disappointed with the inefficacy of Tyr.

He abandoned his title and privileges, and decided to live in isolation, and even his close friends had a hard time contact him. He becoming secretive, short tempered and paranoid, what rendered him the title of "The Mad".

Elekth

Elekth was a succubus, and the current leader of the Cult of Orcus in Daear. She was evolved from her previous form by her abyssal masters, as a reward for a diligent work both learning how to develop the properties of the Marrow and use them to reinforce their army numbers.

She was also instrumental into partially bringing back to life the avatar of Orcus; the spirit of the avatar itself was not conjured to the material plane, but the receptacle, a body powerful enough to sustain the divine spark of a demon, was created and is prepared to receive its power.

Although she works with the cult, Elekth has her own motivations to serve the demon lord, which she keeps for herself.

Ragesh of the Scorched Visage

Ragesh is an old and thin lady, who always stands with an imposing posture, ruffled hair of a deep red color, and half of her face completely covered by burn marks. She is the responsible for the creation of Ashwood, inside the Witch Woods, and is the one who invoked the Flaming Serpent.
