Large aberration (zerg), unaligned Armor Class 13
Saving Throws Dex +5, Con +4 Hivemind. The mutalisk can communicate thoughts and emotions telepathically with other zerg in a 1,000-foot radius. This communication is impossible if no overlords are within 1 mile, and is interrupted for 10 minutes if the mutalisk takes psychic damage. Keen Smell. The mutalisk has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell. Regeneration. The mutalisk regains 4 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point. ACTIONSGlaive Wurm. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 60/120 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (3d4 + 3) slashing damage and 7 (3d4) acid damage, and the glaive wurm chooses a new target within 30 feet, repeating the attack roll. On a second hit, deals 8 (2d4 + 3) slashing damage and 5 (2d4) acid damage, and the glaive wurm chooses a new target within 30 feet, repeating the attack roll (can be the same as the first target). On a third hit, deals 5 (1d4 + 3) slashing damage and 2 (1d4) acid damage.

Mutalisks are flying zerg which gather into deadly swarms and attack from above. Mutalisks attack by spawning small, voracious creatures called glaive wurms. The wurms are then fired as living ammunition, flying between targets before expiring. |
