Multi Wielder[edit]

Prestige Class: Multi Wielder[edit]

Some creatures have more than the normal humanoid number of arms. These creatures, however, do not necessarily have more coordination than anyone else. It takes significant training and focus to use them effectively, and this class represents that. This class not only encompasses using your hands to wield more than two weapons, but also using two hands to use a shield, or duel-wielding two handed weapons. As such, it may have slightly more than the normal amount of class features per level, but a character cannot benefit from all of them at once.

Prerequisites[edit]

To qualify for multiclassing into the Multi-Wielder class, you must meet these prerequisites:

  • At least four arms, either naturally or through a magic item. If your GM allows it, the source of your additional arms may be a quest reward, and permanent.
  • A Dexterity score of at least 13
  • A character level of 10 or higher
  • For every level past 1 of Multi Wielder, you must have 1 level past 10 of classes other than multi Wielder. (i.e, 11 levels in Fighter for 2 levels in multi wielder, 12 then 3, 13 then 4, etc...)

Multi Wielder Features[edit]

Fighting Style

Upon taking your first level in this class, you may choose amongst the following fighting styles, if you do not have them both already:

  • Great Weapon Fighting: When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit.
  • Two-Weapon Fighting: When you engage in two-weapon fighting, you can add your ability modifier to the damage of the second attack.
Double Grip

Upon taking your first level in this class, you may wield a two-handed weapon in two hands, while using your 3rd and/or 4th hand to wield an additional one or two-handed weapon. The second weapon is treated as an off-hand weapon. If you are wielding two two-handed weapons, your second weapon does not benefit from the bonus from Two-Weapon Fighting until you take the 3rd level in this class.

You may also wield a shield in two hands, and use two hands to wield weapons. However, should you do so, you attack at a disadvantage until the 3rd level in this class.

Sturdy Shield

Starting at 2nd level, when you wield a shield in two hands, you gain an additional +1 to AC.

Three-Weapon Fighting

Also starting at 2nd level, you may attack with a third weapon you are wielding as a bonus action, a maximum of once per round, when making an attack action. You can take an additional Bonus Action on each of your turns in Combat, if you use it for this class feature.

Strong Cleaves

Starting at 3rd level, when duel wielding two-handed weapons, you may now benefit from the bonus from Two-Weapon Fighting.

Swords and Shield

Starting at 3rd level, you no longer attack at disadvantage when wielding a shield, and using more than two hands to wield weapons.

Four-Weapon Fighting

Starting at 4th level, you may attack with a fourth weapon you are wielding as a bonus action, a maximum of once per round, when making an attack action. You can take an additional Bonus Action on each of your turns in Combat, if you use it for this class feature.

Stand your Ground

Starting at 5th level, when wielding a shield in both hands, you may reduce the amount you are pushed by any attack by 10 feet. In addition, you make rolls to avoid being knocked prone when struck by an attack at an advantage.

Shield Wall

Starting at 5th level, you may duel wield shields. You do not gain the bonus from Sturdy Shield when doing so.

Flurry of Blows

Starting at 5th level, you may use an action to attack all creatures in melee range with all equipped weapons. You may not add your proficiency bonus to the damage of these attacks, and you may not make any other attack actions before or after this one this round.

Fully Automatic

Starting at 5th level, when wielding two or more ranged weapons, you may attack one extra time per weapon (up to twice), as long as all your attacks are targeted towards a single target. When doing so, you may not make any other attack actions, nor can you move, before or after this action this round.

Four Armed is Forewarned

You have limited ability to see the future. Starting at 10th level, you may parry with one weapon while attacking with another. The first melee attack has disadvantage each round.
