Monohue Magician (4e Paragon Path)
From D&D Wiki
Monohue Magician[edit]
“ | It takes most artists hundreds of colors to reach the level of beauty that I can achieve with only one. | ” |
—Unknown Glyphologist |
Prerequisite: Glyphologist, Elemental Affininty class feature
Glyphologists make use of elemental magic in the same way the painters use various colors of paint. A variety of colors and combinations come together to create a masterpiece. Again like painters, many glyphologists are known to go through periods where they favor a certain element, or color, over others. Occasionally, glyphologists even go so far as to base the majority or all of their spells on their favored element. Some even continue on in this manner for the remainder of their lives.
Monohue Magician Path Features[edit]
- Elemental Focus (11th Level): At level 11 choose a type of elemental glyph. This glyph is permanently affected by your Elemental Affinity class feature and you gain an additional +2 enhancement bonus to glyphologist powers that use this glyph as an invoke cost.
- Colorful Action (11th Level): If you spend an action point to gain an extra action, you can create a glyph of the type chosen in your Elemental Focus path feature. This glyph grants a +2 enhancement bonus to the power it is used as an invoke or augmentation cost for.
- Creative Coloring (16th Level): You can choose to use the glyph chosen by your Elemental Focus path feature as the invoke cost for powers not normally requiring it. This changes the damage type as indicated below. Fire=Fire, Water=Force, Rock=Normal, Wind=Force, Lightning=Lightning, Ice=Cold, Light=Radiant, Dark=Necrotic
