Molehumans[edit]

Molehumans are a subterranean race that evolved to live in underground tunnels and caverns. They are known for their exceptional digging abilities and their keen sense of smell.

Physical Description[edit]

Molehumans have a short, stocky build, ranging from 3 to 4 feet in height. Their skin is rough and course, and ranges in color from pale gray to black. They have small eyes that are poorly adapted to bright light, but their sense of smell is many times keener than that of other humanoid races. They also have sharp claws and tough skin, adapted for digging through rock and soil.

History[edit]

Molehumans evolved from a species of underground rodents that lived in deep tunnels and underground caverns. Over time, they developed greater intelligence and more advanced digging abilities, which allowed them to create permanent settlements underground. Their society is tightly-knit and communal, with each member fulfilling a specific role in order to keep the colony running smoothly.

Society[edit]

Molehumans live in large underground colonies, with each colony ruled by a council of elders. They are excellent miners and builders, and their homes are known for being sturdy and well-constructed. Despite their insular nature, molehuman colonies are often hospitable to travelers who respect their customs and way of life.

Molehuman Names[edit]

Molehuman names often reflect their communal nature, with each member of the colony being given a descriptive name that reflects their role in society. Examples include:

Worker Digger Builder Scout Watcher Elder
