Mercantile Mastery (5e Feat)
Mercantile Mastery
Prerequisites: Charisma 15, proficient in Persuasion
You have perfected the art of creating and peddling your wares. You are an artist, and your canvas is the market.
Gain proficiency in two sets of tools of your choice. If you choose a set of tools that you are already proficient in, you instead add twice your proficiency bonus to any check made with those tools.
Any goods that you create are always created one quality grade higher than your roll would dictate (if your roll would make a good quality item, you instead make a great quality item, etc.).
All goods that you sell are noticeably higher quality, and are far easier to sell, whether to other merchants, to the masses, or even to royalty and nobility. You gain a +5 bonus to Persuasion rolls when selling any wares that you have created. As long as the person you are rolling to sell to is interested in your wares, if you beat the roll of the person you are selling to by 5, they are guaranteed to purchase the wares without haggling. If you beat their roll by 10, they will be willing to pay more for your wares, as they believe they can sell it for more. If you beat their roll by 15 or more, they will be willing to pay up to twice the normal value of your wares, as they believe your goods to be of such high quality that they could easily sell it for a great profit.
