Mephitis Tiefling (5e Race Variant)

Tiefling Variant

Tieflings of this kind trace their lineage back to Mephitus, a lesser-known archdevil from the foul swamps of Minauros. They may possess slimy or warty skin of a green or gray hue, but their sickly complexion belies a hardened constitution and an affinity for airborne toxins.

The following replaces the Ability Score Increase and Infernal Legacy traits.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution and Charisma scores each increase by 1.

Toxin Resistance. You have resistance to poison damage, and advantage on saving throws against poisons and disease.

Legacy of Mephitis. You know the poison spray cantrip. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the stinking cloud spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma or Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
