Master of the Deep
Prerequisites: Proficiency with martial weapons
You have mastered the art of aquatic combat and navigation. You gain the following benefits:
- Increase your Strength or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- You gain proficiency with water vehicles. When you make an ability check using a water vehicle, you can add twice your proficiency bonus, instead of any proficiency bonus you normally apply.
- You ignore the loading property for cannons and harpoon guns with which you are proficient.
- Before making a ranged attack with a cannon or harpoon weapon that you are proficient with, you can choose to take a -5 penalty to the attack roll. If the attack hits, you add +10 to the attack's damage.
- Attacking at long range doesn't impose disadvantage on your ranged weapon attack rolls.
