The mangual is a two-handed flail, typically with three chains and three balls at the end, that is mainly used for training. It is notable as unlike a normal flail, the chains are as long or longer than the handle. This means that for its length it is a very light weapon, and can be wielded with great dexterity, whirling the chains around with incredible speed. In fact, it can be tricky to use as the length of the chain means the balls can swing back around and hit the hands or even the body of the practitioner. As such, it is often only wielded in battle by the incredibly skilled or the incredibly mad. It is one of the only two-handed weapons that can rely on the user's dexterity alone, as the speed of the whirling chains and balls makes up for any lack of strength behind a swing.
