Mambele 15 gp 1d6 piercing or slashing 2 lb. Light, thrown (range 20/60)

A sort of hybrid between a knife and a handaxe usually seen among warriors of tribal origins. Their construction consists of a usually iron blade, typically 22 inches in length, with a curved back section and rearward spike. There is a great variety as to the shapes a mambele blade can take, often with another blade closer to the hilt jutting out to the side. It is usually used as a throwing weapon, with the curved spike designed to keep the weapon in the target and cause further damage when pulled out, but in close combat can be used like a hatchet or dagger, even with alternations between piercing and slashing attacks.
