Class Features:[edit]
All of the following are class features of the Magna Blade prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Magna Blade gains no new weapon, armor or shield proficiencies.
Energy Infusion: At 1st level, a Magna Blade chooses one type of energy (I.E. cold). He gains resistance to that energy equal to his Magna Blade level times two, and a caster may add his class levels in Magna Blade to any spell with that descriptor for purposes of determining caster level.
Elemental Fury: A Magna Blade can infuse his attacks with energy, dealing devestating damage. When in an Elemental Fury, a Magna Blade takes a -4 to AC, and deals an extra d6 of damage per level of Magna Blade ( max 3d6 ). The extra d6 deals damage of the same type as the Magna Blade's Energy Infusion. A Magna Blade's Elemental Fury lasts for a number of rounds equal to 3 + his contitution modifir (minimum 1).
Elemental Substitution: At 3rd level, a Magna Blade can change his Energy Infusion to a different type of energy a number of times per day equal to his Constitution modifer + Magna Blade level (Minimum 1). Changing his Energy Infusion is a full-round action.
Elemental Transcendence: At 5th level, a Magna Blade chooses one type of medium elemental (I.E. Air Elemental). A Magna Blade can change into that type of elemental, he changes any energy or elemental immunities and vulnerabilities from the elemental form into his Energy Infusion. He otherwise gains all abilities of his new form, including modes of movement, extraordinary abilities and special attacks, but retains any class abilities that he can use in his new form, including feats and hit die. For example, Hexar, a 7th Fighter/4th Wizard/5th Magna Blade, chooses a fire elemental as his elemental form. He can change into Medium Fire Elemental form a number of times per day equal to his Constitution score - 10. Hexar has (acid) as his Energy Infusion, his Burn ability does acid damage instead of fire damage. A Magna Blade can stay in Elemental form for a number of rounds equal to his Magna Blade level plus his constitution modifier. After his round limit is up, a Magna Blade must make a Constitution check to stay in his Elemental form, with a starting DC of 10, that increases by 2 in each subsequent round that the Magna Blade stays in Elemental form.
