Magiciae are often indistinguishable from humans, though sometimes sporting more variety in their hair and eye colors. Magiciae are also marginally taller than humans on average, but this isn't enough to identify them by. Unless a magicia sports a particularly unusual hair and/or eye color, they can very easily be mistaken for a human.

History

Magiciae have existed for millennia, though until recently they have been mistaken for humans. Recent findings suggest that many famous human wizards and human sorcerers may have been magiciae all along, though decisive evidence has yet to be discovered. Though the origins of where the race itself originated from are unclear, their innate knowledge of Sylvan and magical nature at least prove that they are fey.

Society

Magiciae often coexist with humans, and therefore share much of their society with them. However, one notable societal difference between humans and magiciae is that magiciae tend to focus on intellectual pursuit much more than humans do. They tend to perform great deals of experimentation, whether it be with chemicals, the fabric of magic, or both, though this doesn't mean all magiciae are scholars; most magiciae have a thirst for knowledge, though exceptions do exist.

Magicia Names

Magiciae mix the naming conventions of humans and elves, but also tend to pick names that have an intellectual "feel" to them.

Male: Merlin, Stefan, Arlen

Female: Patchouli, Alice, Soliana

Magicia Traits

Magic is a part of your being, down to your core.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution, Intelligence, and Wisdom scores each increase by 1.
Age. Magiciae mature not much later than humans, though they live much longer. A magicia reaches adulthood in their early twenties and can live for 1000 years or more.
Alignment. Magiciae vary just as much as humans do. They do not tend towards any particular alignment.
Size. Magiciae are similar in size to humans, though they can sometimes be taller on average, ranging from well over 5 feet to just over 6-and-a-half feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Fey Bloodline. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep. Additionally, your creature type is both humanoid and fey.
Magically Sustained. As a magicia, you do not require sleep nor physical sustenance. You do not incur exhaustion for neglecting sleep, and you do not need to eat or drink. Instead of sleeping, magiciae meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is "trance.") You do not dream in this state, though you aren't completely aware of your surroundings while meditating. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Magically-Infused Being. Magiciae are more attuned to the magic in the world around them. You are proficient in the Arcana skill. Additionally, you know a cantrip of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. When you reach 3rd level, you choose a 1st level spell from the sorcerer spell list; you can cast the chosen spell once without expending a spell slot, after which you must finish a long rest before you can cast it again. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Sylvan.
