From D&D Wiki
Magic Density[edit]
The density of Mana and Magical Elements can change completely from place to place causing wild effects. Magic now has density a regular area will have a Magic Density of 10 Units or 10 Mana. This does not affect divine spells as they are not cast through magic elements.
Roll on d20 | Mana Density | Effects |
---|---|---|
1 | 0 Units of Mana / 0 Magic Density | Has the same effects as Anti Magic Field in an area of the DM's discretion. |
2-6 | 5 Units of Mana / 5 Magic Density | The effects of all spells are halved so half spell damage, duration etc. Casting time and and Magic Material costs are doubled. However you can't critically fail and gain advantage on concentration saves. |
7-15 | 10 Units of Mana / 10 Magic Density | SRD rules apply |
16-20 | 20 Units of Mana / 20 Magic Density | The effects of all spells are doubled so double spell damage, duration etc. Casting time and and Magic Material costs are halved. However you also need to roll on the action magic surge table every time a spell is used. You can also critically fail on a 2 and gain disadvantage on concentration. |
