Lunar Drow (5e Subrace)

Elf Subrace[edit]
By Linda Tso |
The lunar drow are a type of elf that came about following the Retreat to Evermeet. Moon elves, also known as Teu'Tel'Quessir, were originally the largest group of elves to migrate to Abeir-Toril. Of the moon elves, a certain number were cursed for resisting the Elven Court. Following the fall of the Court by the Cormanthor drow, these drow were converted to their beliefs from the Seldarine. However, they still maintain a distinct impulsiveness and tolerance of non-elves from moon elves that drow do not normally have.
While normal drow always have obsidian skin, the skin of lunar drow appears almost like ivory under moonlit nights. Their hair is fair, with bluish tints. Their eyes are dark, unlike the white eyes that drow have. Their bodies are slender and agile, like normal dwarves. Lunar drow retain a sort of benign outlook towards even non-elves. As a result, they are distinguished and even discriminated against by other drow. This is even more exacerbated given the fact that lunar drow do not fear the sun and like to venture out where drow normally cannot go so freely.
